Sunday, October 9th. I'm happy your local paper was able to report your input as to what the Americans are hoping to achieve "over there." It's neat to know someone in the family was featured in the news :-)

I have just returned (with other members of the family) from a long walk on the beach . . . the weather is perfect, think blue skies and white fluffy clouds. Apart from ooohing and aaarhing at some recently built million-dollar homes near the ocean, we watched surfers trying to catch the perfect wave. Neat stuff.

Keep safe.

Love,

Mum

Hey, Alex, I just read the article from your interview. Cool! Annette didn't even tell me about it. I suppose you know how much we miss you. We have had more rain than the law should allow. Ken and I spent the weekend in Gloucester. Ken put in insulation in the pump house while I cleaned and cleaned and cleaned and cleaned the house which, by the way, is still dirty. I really must go more often to clean! School(work) is going really well. It's lots of work but much less stress. I'm still going to Curves every day and usually take a walk at night. Unfortunately, one of my students saw me walking one night with a flashlight and thought it was the funniest thing he'd ever seen (oh, to be 14 again!), so he keeps talking about it. Take care, and keep safe. Love you, D.

Hi Son
Got the email re interview, logged on, wrong day!! Phoned your home and it was confirmed...So I missed someone’s 5 minuets of fame:
I have just come back from the hospital as I need an operation (very minor) I had to be weighed, blood pressure etc: and to and to my utter disgust, I have ballooned to just under nineteen stone...I am in total shock, I can not talk to any one, I can only communicate via ‘Post-It’ stickers. What a reality hit, after examining my face (which seems to have grown all over the top section of my body, chins everywhere,) I realise I have to do something instant and on-going, I have decided, from this day forward, I am only going to eat 'DUST’ this may help, I will try this diet for a week, and reassess the situation, I will probably go on to 'GRIT' then slowly re- introduce my digestive system back to healthy food...More to follow:

Nice article -- glad to see you have had your "15 minutes of fame" though I would have preferred to see you as a football hero myself (rugby maybe?? - geez, I would even accept basketball). Got the news about November -- hooorah -- as they say. Keep safe and remember that you have our attention (love, too). Gran-pere

Hi CPT C,

Hope all is well with you today. I had an interesting fun day today. I worked on a habitat home. I learned how to do things I've never done before. Learned how to use tools that are so cool! Did lots of painting. Climbed to the third level on scaffolding which I have never done before. I'm a little nervous way up high. Such a neat experience. I am going to continue to do this long term.

Getting some cooler weather. It doesn't take me long to be ready for spring again. I'm not a cold weather person.

I hope you get to go home to visit soon. Take care and thanks again for all that you do.

See ya,

Tooley
