Thursday, August 18th. As always, it's great to hear from you. The photos of the children are smashing, and it's heart-warming to know that you are working towards making a difference to their well-being and happiness.
Keep safe.
Love,
Mum
Tuesday, August 23rd. In this household, academic life is in full gear once again. Hubby is taking a course on Popular Culture, I'm taking two courses, Psychology in Literature and Writing about Film, and our grandson starts first grade the day after tomorrow. Your eldest sister will have to wait until January 2006 to enroll for classes (due to length of residency in this state). Until then, she has been assigned various household duties, including cooking most of the meals during the week to keep the schoolchildren happy and alert :) As cooking seems to be her forte, we're looking forward to delicious fare.
Keep safe.

Mum
Thursday, August 25th. I think you will get a chuckle out of this vision . . . Imagine your nephew this morning on his way to his first day in first grade. As his mother is backing out of the driveway on her way to the school, they see Nana on the front porch (in her nightgown) wearing a Napoleon-style military hat, trimmed with brass and large red plumes. As your nephew and his mother drove away from the house, they were treated to a jolly salute :) If passers-by looked up towards the house, they would have seen a middle-aged woman making a spectacle of herself, all in the hope of giving a six year old a memorable send off!
Keep safe.
Love,
Mum
