Kurdish children

Monday. Another fantastic photo of Kurdish children :) The children in this photo have the most beautiful eyes that belie the knowledge that they have witnessed far too many unpleasantries in their impressionable childhood. Let's hope a soft, plush toy will make their faces beam with joy and forget their circumstances (at least for awhile).

Hubby and I are preparing to leave on Friday for our trip "over the pond." Are we excited? Oh, yes, we most certainly are!

Before we leave on Friday, the package of soft, plush toys will be mailed on to you.

Keep safe.

Love,

Mum

Am in London visiting my mom. She sends her love. Nice to see your excellent pictures. Keep up the good work.

Hi CPT,

I went to a fireworks show last night. The whole time I was thinking about you and all of our military. Very thankful for what you are doing. I am enjoying this site - it's totally awesome. Learning a lot. Could you use some more toys for the children, or is there anything else I can send that would be beneficial?
I'm running my 8th Peachtree Road Race tomorrow AM. Is there going to be a group in Iraq running? I know there are time groups set up abroad as well as the 55,000 that run here.
Take care, let me know if you need anything, will continue to pray for you all.

Love,

Tooley

Hubby and I are thoroughly enjoying our stay in the south: gorgeous weather, chocolate eclairs, fish and chips, specialty shops . . . can a vacation be more perfect?

Tonight, we are out on the water with your youngest sister's in-laws and will cruise out to an island for a B-B-Q and watch a Summer Fireworks Celebration. Magical moments :)

Keep safe.

Love,

Mum

Saturday, July 16th. Hubby and I continue to enjoy our days in the (hot and sunny) south west. Tonight, we'll be joining in-laws, out-laws et al for a B-B-Q on the beach at a nearby nature reserve. The event promises to be great fun with ball games following the food: kebabs, burgers, breads, veggies, fruits, etc. We'll think of you when we devour the national food favourites :)

I will look for the DVDs you asked for during the next week or two.

Keep safe.

Love,

Mum

CPT,

How are you going, mate? Your website is fascinating, especially the pictures and the article about the differences between Iraquis and US marines. I guess to know yourself is the first step to best helping others! I really admire what you are doing over there. I think what the Iraquis need right now is real, practical help, and that is what you are providing. If you need anything, just let me know direct or through your family. All my family here "downunder" are well, and wish you the best! And all our love to your family!
